Hello, I'm Andrew Mitchell.
Mitchell Motors was created jointly by my father and grandfather, Ernest and Peter Mitchell, in 1962 and has remained on the same site ever since, expanding mostly through word of mouth.
Being the third generation of the Mitchell family to have run the firm, I am conscious of continuing the tradition of completing exceptionally high quality work, coupled with treating our clients in a fair way. When you call, it is invariably me that answers the phone as I want to be the first point of contact for my clients; no hiding behind secretaries! Whether you need advice on a restoration or another problem that need resolving, you can rest assured that you'll be speaking to the boss almost every time.
I have hand-picked every member of my team to ensure that they have the right skills, personality and interest in classic cars that is required to ensure my firm continues to provide very high quality work. This is very important as without passion, knowledge and enthusiasm we cannot hope to create the best possible end result for our clients.
Unlike some firms that try and be a 'jack of all trades', our philosophy is to specialise to ensure that we are the best. If you want your classic vehicle repainted or the bodywork repaired or recreated, then you will not find anyone better than us to do that for you. I can back this up with proof of the many awards we have won, including concours competitions as well as customer testimonials.
Finally, although traditional skills are central to producing the high quality work for which my firm is renowned, I am not averse to trying new ideas. Recently for example, I invested in a new state of the art paint facility. Also, the use of modern CAD (computer aided design) and reverse engineering techniques has ensured that my firm continues to be the best in its chosen field.
